(b) (a) Operators of aged care services are required to ensure staff, contractors and volunteers, who have, or are reasonably likely to have access to care recipients undergo a National Criminal History Record Check, commonly known as a Police CheckCheck on commencement of employment and every 3 years thereafter. Staff, contractors and volunteers are required to notify the employer if they are convicted of a precluding offence as outlined in the Aged Care Xxx 0000 in the three year period between obtaining and renewing a police check.
