NATURE AND TYPES OF EXAMINATIONS. The selection techniques used in the examination process shall be impartial, of practical nature and shall relate to those subjects which, in the opinion of the Director of Human Resources, fairly measure the relative capacities of the class to which they seek to be appointed. Examinations shall consist of such recognized personnel selection techniques as achievement tests, aptitude tests, evaluation of background through personal interviews, performance tests, evaluation of daily work performance, work samples, physical agility tests, physical examination, psychological, polygraph, or any combination of exams.

NATURE AND TYPES OF EXAMINATIONS. The type of test or Examination shall be determined by the Personnel Officer in conjunction with the Department Head. The selection techniques used in the Examination process shall be impartial and shall, in the opinion of the Personnel Officer, fairly measure the qualifications of Candidates to perform the essential job functions of the Class to which they seek to be appointed. Except as provided in Subsection 2.22.4, Examinations shall consist of selection techniques such as, but not necessarily limited to, application screening, written tests, oral interviews, performance tests, physical agility tests, evaluation of education, experience, work history, medical tests, or any combination of these or other tests. The Examination content shall be based on the Class specification. Physical, psychological and medical tests may be made a part of the Examination process for certain Classes, only after a conditional job offer has been made pursuant to Subsection 6.1.3 of these Rules. When such tests are required, they shall be made at the City's expense by a duly licensed physician or psychologist designated by the Personnel Officer.

  • Tax Examinations Abroad 1. A Contracting Party may allow representatives of the competent authority of the other Contracting Party to enter the territory of the first-mentioned Party to interview individuals and examine records with the written consent of the persons concerned. The competent authority of the second-mentioned Party shall notify the competent authority of the first-mentioned Party of the time and place of the meeting with the individuals concerned.

  • Eye Examinations For all covered EMPLOYEES required to use VDTs on average at least two (2) hours per day, the Department will provide a base line eye examination at the Occupational Safety and Health facility ("OSH"), followed by an eye examination at OSH once a year.

  • Inspections and Tests 26.1 The Supplier shall at its own expense and at no cost to the Procuring Entity carry out all such tests and/or inspections of the Goods and Related Services as are specified in the SCC.

  • Physical Examinations Where the Employer requires an employee to take a physical examination, doctor's fees for such examination shall be paid by the Employer.   • Medical Examinations An employee may be required by the Employer, at the request of and at the expense of the Employer, to take a medical examination by a physician of the employee's choice. Employees may be required to take skin tests, x-ray examination, vaccination, inoculation and other immunization (with the exception of a rubella vaccination when the employee is of the opinion that a pregnancy is possible), unless the employee's physician has advised in writing that such a procedure may have an adverse affect on the employee's health.

  • Geotechnical 19 The A/E as required shall review past pavement, soil 20 and geology investigations, discuss past findings as 21 impacting the subject roadway project, and independently 22 perform design-needed geotechnical services including 23 development and implementation of a field investigation plan 24 involving any field data collection as deemed necessary, 25 development of a laboratory testing program to conduct soils 26 surface and subsurface characterization tests as applicable 1 to the needs of the project, development of seismic analysis 2 and design criteria in accordance with code requirements, 3 development of pavement condition studies to provide 4 recommendations concerning life cycle costs and 5 rehabilitation/reconstruction methods, and recommendations 6 for the design of foundations, embankment and excavation 7 procedures, settlement analysis, lateral, active, and passive 8 earth pressures, de-watering, landslide mapping, slope 9 stabilization, soil corrosion, erosion, sedimentation control 10 and other applicable design criteria as deemed necessary.

  • Health Examinations The Employer shall provide at no cost to the employee, such medical tests, health examinations and surveillance/monitoring as may be required as a condition of employment and/or as a result of regulated hazards encountered after employment.

  • TEACHER EVALUATIONS A. Each teacher shall have the right, upon request, to review the contents of his/her personal file folder.

  • Inspection and Tests 3.8.1 The Procuring entity or its representative shall have the right to inspect and/or to test the goods to confirm their conformity to the Contract specifications. The Procuring entity shall notify the tenderer in writing in a timely manner, of the identity of any representatives retained for these purposes.
