Class Specification. The Employer will provide, upon request, copies of current class specifications covering bargaining unit employees.
Class Specification. A written description for a group of positions that relates to a range of duties that may be performed, identifies minimum qualifications and is used to determine appropriate salary levels.
Class Specification. Upon request, by the Union or an employee, the Employer shall provide class specifications electronically. In the event an employee does not have access to class specifications electronically, the Employer shall provide such class specification in writing.
Class Specification. A formal statement of the duties and responsibilities of the positions in the class, illustrated by examples of typical tasks, and of the qualification requirements of the positions in the class.
Class Specification. A written description of the classification.
Class Specification. Lead Hand - leads and assigns work to a group of Engineers; - ability to lead, train, and communicate effectively; - would have obtained either a 2nd or 3rd class operating engineer’s certificate; and
Class Specification. In consultation with the Union, the Human Resources Division shall determine:
Class Specification. A written description, known as a class specification, will be prepared for each job classification. Class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive. Each class specification shall include the following:
1. A general definition of the job classification;
Class Specification. Every job in the bargaining unit shall be covered by a Class Specification. The College will issue class specifications for every position within the bargaining unit no later than October 1, 1993. Such class specifications will conform with Appendix B.
a) Every employee shall receive a copy of her class specification.
b) The Union shall receive a copy of all class specifications with point and factor detail.
c) Prior to posting of any position the College shall provide the Union with a copy of the class specification with point and factor detail.
d) The class specifications shall contain an overview of the position and a list of the duties, responsibilities and qualifications an individual must possess in order to perform the work within the class specification.
e) The class specification shall not include such phrases as "desired", "preferred qualifications", nor "all other duties as required", "assists with more advanced duties" or "to act as a deputy for more senior staff members". The phrase "performs duties related to the qualifications and requirements of the job" is permissible.
f) The integrity of the class specification plan shall be maintained. Towards this end, changes to the class specification shall not violate this Agreement, nor result in an unreasonable combination of functions or work requirements.
g) The creation of class specifications shall not bind the College to create and/or to fill the positions covered by such class specifications.
h) Class specifications shall be prepared by the College in consultation with the incumbent(s), wherever possible. Class specifications shall be issued for all positions with a duration of hire of three (3) months or more.
Class Specification. In consultation with the Union, the Human Resources Division shall determine:
1. Job Titles,
2. Relationship of one Classification to the others, and
3. Job Specifications. The Employer shall provide the Union with a copy of the class specification of each title covered by the Agreement for which such a specification exists.
