School Day A. The length of the school day shall be seven (7) hours and five (5) minutes inclusive of the arrival and departure time.
Night Duty 222. Employees shall be paid eight percent (8%) more than the base rate for each hour worked between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. if the employee works at least one (1) hour of his/her shift between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., except for those employees participating in an authorized flex-time program and who voluntarily work between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
Overnight Guests Any guest who remains in on-campus housing past 12:00am is considered an Overnight Guest. Overnight Guests under the age of 16 who are not enrolled are not permitted. No resident will be allowed more than two (2) Overnight Guests at one time (this number can be reduced during special events). Any Overnight Guest requires the approval of the roommate(s). No Overnight Guest may stay more than three (3) consecutive days without the permission of the roommate and the Hall Director. No individual may stay as an Overnight Guest in on-campus housing for more than 15 days total in a given semester. Persons who have been removed from on-campus housing for any reason may not return as Overnight Guests following their removal.
ETU Picnic Day In accordance with picnic day provision the Company shall require from an employee proof of picnic day attendance, ie ETU ticket purchase before payment will be made for the day. A ticket purchased in relation to an alternative union picnic day is not sufficient for the purposes of payment. Where possible no work shall be scheduled on the first Monday of December each year which is the Annual Building Industry Picnic Day.
Night Shift Employees who regularly work a full shift of eight (8) hours or more on night shift as defined in Section 12.6.1 (Types of Shifts), which includes four (4) hours or more between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 7:00 a.m., shall be paid their regular salary plus ten percent (10%) of their monthly salary per month, provided that in the case of any employee who is regularly assigned to night-shift work for less than an entire work week, the additional payment shall be made only for the portion of the work week worked on the night-shift assignment.
Picnic Day 47.1 The Parties agree that Building Industry Picnic Day will continue to apply during the life of this Agreement in accordance with the following:
Length of School Day 4.4.1 For each school the length of the “school day” shall be determined according to the requirement that students are normally required to be in attendance for two HD, one before noon, the other after noon.
Sick Leave Charges An employee using sick leave shall be charged for only the number of hours that the employee was scheduled to work during the period of sick leave. Holidays that occur during sick leave periods shall be paid as a holiday and not charged as a sick leave day.
SHIFT AND WEEKEND PREMIUMS 39.1 An employee working on shifts shall be paid a shift premium of two dollars ($2.00) per hour for all hours worked, including overtime hours, between 16:00 and 08:00. The shift premium will not be paid for hours worked between 08:00 and 16:00.
Unworked Holidays Eligible employees shall receive pay equal to their normal work shift at their base rate in effect at the time the holiday occurs. An employee who is on the active payroll on the holiday and has worked both the last scheduled shift preceding the holiday and the first scheduled shift succeeding the holiday shall be eligible for pay for such unworked holiday. An exception to this requirement will occur if the employee(s) can furnish proof, satisfactory to the District that because of illness they were unable to work on either of such shifts, and the absence previous to such holiday, by reason of such illness, has not been longer than 30 regular workdays, and they received sick pay for the day(s) missed.
