Common use of NO STRIKE OR LOCKOUTS Clause in Contracts

NO STRIKE OR LOCKOUTS. 12.01 The Union undertakes and agrees that while this Agreement is in operation neither the Union nor any employee shall take part in or call or encourage any strike, picketing, sit-down, slowdown, or any suspension or stoppage of or interference with work or production against the Board which shall in any way affect the operation of the Board, nor shall there be any sympathy strikes or secondary boycotts and the Board agrees that it will not engage in any lockouts during the term of this Agreement. 12.02 When a full-time employee, or a part-time employee has made an attempt to cross and has been unable to have access to his/her place of work due to a strike action by another union, the employee will proceed to the nearest Halton District School Board facility not under strike action. The employee will contact his/her Field Supervisor of Facility Services Department and await instructions. If instructions are not received by the employee the remainder of his/her shift will be completed at the facility in which the employee gained access.
