Common use of NO STRIKE OR WORK STOPPAGE Clause in Contracts

NO STRIKE OR WORK STOPPAGE. The PBA, its officers, agents, representatives, and its bargaining unit members and employees agree that they will not strike, as defined by the Public Employees Relations Act, and agree not to participate in a strike against the Sheriff by instigating or supporting a strike, nor shall the bargaining unit member participate in a work stoppage, slow-down, sick out, job actions or picketing in furtherance, of any of the above-prohibited activities. Notwithstanding the above, there shall be no picketing whatsoever in uniform by the bargaining unit members covered by this Agreement. The parties agree that any bargaining unit member who participates in or promotes any of the aforesaid activities may be discharged or otherwise disciplined by the Sheriff.
