Non-Work Periods. The non-work periods are as follows: December Non- Work Period normally in December during Exam period and University closure for partial period in December to allow for maintenance work. February Reading Week Non- Work Period normally one (1) week in February. Summer Non-Work Period normally mid-April to the end of August Work Non-Work Period
Non-Work Periods usually consist of a portion of unpaid authorised absence, a portion of accrued RDOs (if applicable) and a portion of any paid leave which has been requested and approved or prearranged.

  • Break Periods ‌ There will be no rest periods, organized coffee breaks or other non-working time established during working hours. Individual coffee containers will be permitted at the employee’s work location. Where 4/10s are being worked there shall be a morning and an afternoon coffee break.

  • Renewal Periods Renewal of registered names may be made in one (1) year increments for up to a maximum of ten (10) years. For the avoidance of doubt, renewal of registered names may not extend their registration period beyond ten (10) years from the time of the renewal.

  • Meal Periods (a) Meal periods shall be scheduled as closely as possible to the middle of the workday. The length of the meal period shall be not less than thirty (30) minutes and not more than sixty (60) minutes.

  • Lunch Periods All employees covered by this Agreement shall be entitled to an uninterrupted lunch period after the employee has been on duty for four (4) hours. The length of time for such lunch shall be for a period of no longer than one hour nor less than one-half (1/2) hour and shall be scheduled for full-time employees at or about the midpoint of each work shift. This also applies to overtime assignments of four hours or more.
