Common use of Notice and evidence Clause in Contracts

Notice and evidence. (a) An employee must give his or her employer notice of the taking of compassionate leave as soon as practicable (which may be at a time after the leave has started) and must advise the employer of the period, or expected period, of the leave. (b) In the event of a death, the employee must give the employer a copy of the funeral notice or other evidence of the death the employer reasonably requires. (c) In circumstances other than a death, an employee who has given their employer notice of taking compassionate leave must, if required by the employer, provide the employer with evidence which would satisfy a reasonable person that the leave is taken for the reason specified.
