Common use of Notification by Employee Clause in Contracts

Notification by Employee. When an employee is unable to report to work, he/she will notify his/her Immediate Supervisor and/or other designated person, no longer than ten (10) hours or less than one (1) hour prior to the time he/she is scheduled to work on each day of absence. Failure to so inform on each occasion, or at agreed intervals in the case of extended illness, will result in a loss of that day's pay. Continued abuse of this Section will give cause for dismissal from service with the City.
