Notification to School Officials. To the extent a District administrator is not already involved in a situation on District property, as soon as practicable, Co-responders must notify the school principal at the building where the incident took place of any violations of the student or staff code of conduct or any actions involving staff, students or District property that impact discipline, maintenance of the educational environment or public safety. If there is a student incident off school grounds the school administration should be made aware if the incident if there is a nexus to the safety of the school community.

Notification to School Officials. To the extent a School District official is not already involved in a situation on School District property, as soon as practicable, the SRO must notify the School Administrator of any violations of the student or staff code of conduct or any actions involving staff, students or School District property that impact discipline, maintenance of the educational environment or public safety. If there is a student incident off school grounds, the School Administrator should be made aware if the incident if there is a nexus to the safety of the school community. The SRO shall adhere to District policy, District regulations, and District guidelines, but to the extent there is a conflict between such policies and Sheriff policies, the Sheriff policy shall control. The SRO shall not be used for regularly assigned lunchroom duties, hall monitoring or other monitoring duties.
