Notification While on Paid Vacation. If a leave eligible employee is injured or 11 becomes ill while on paid vacation, in order to receive sick leave for that time, he/she must notify the 12 manager/designee on the first day of the injury or illness or as soon as practical, but not later than the 13 first day after returning to work, unless otherwise required by law. A health care provider’s 14 certification may be required as provided under Section 8.12.
