Observance Days. The observance of a listed holiday shall be on the day of such holiday. For the purposes of this Section, the holiday starts at 7:00a.m. and ends at 7:00a.m. the day after the holiday.

Observance Days. For employees who have a regular work schedule other than Monday to Friday, the observance of the holiday shall be on the day of such holiday as printed in the schedule below. For those employees whose regular schedule is Monday to Friday, City observed legal holidays that fall on a Saturday will be observed on Friday, and City observed legal holidays that fall on Sunday will be observed on Monday.

Observance Days. ‌ The observance of a listed holiday shall be on the day of such holiday as set forth in section 22.3 for employees assigned to twelve (12) hours shifts. For the purposes of this Section, for employees working twelve hour shifts, the holiday starts at 7:00 AM and ends at 7:00 PM the day of the holiday. For employees who are assigned to work twenty-four (24) hour shifts, holidays shall start at 7:00 am on the day of the holiday and end at 7:00 am on the following day.

  • Observance (a) When a holiday specified in Article 58, Section 1 falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be recognized as the holiday. When a holiday specified in Article 58, Section 1 falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be recognized as the holiday.

  • Holiday Observance When the observed holiday falls on the employee’s scheduled work day, that day will be considered the holiday. When an observed holiday falls on the employee’s scheduled day off, he or she will be permitted to take an alternate day off during the week in which the holiday is observed. Employees must schedule any such alternate days off in advance with the approval of their supervisors. Employees may elect to receive equivalent compensatory time in lieu of an alternate day off.

  • Observance of Holidays The Board of Trustees may establish calendars that observe holidays on dates other than those listed above, or as modified by current institutional practices.
