Union Officials 1. The Union will notify the Company in writing of the election, appointment, or removal of Union shop xxxxxxx(s). The District Lodge will notify the Company in writing of the Committee members at that location.
Union Officers Employees hereafter elected or appointed to full time Union office shall be granted a leave of absence without loss of sen iority but without accumulating seniority during the period of the leave of absence.
Union Orientation During orientation of newly hired Nurses, the Employer will allow up to thirty (30) minutes for a representative of the Local Union to speak with the newly hired Nurses.
Code of Basic Working Conditions and Human Rights Xxxxx is committed to providing a safe and secure working environment and the protection and advancement of basic human rights in its worldwide operations. In furtherance of this commitment, Xxxxx has adopted a Code of Basic Working Conditions and Human Rights setting out in detail the measures it takes to ensure this commitment is fulfilled. Xxxxx strongly encourages Seller to adopt and enforce concepts similar to those embodied in the Boeing Code, including conducting Seller’s operations in a manner that is fully compliant with all applicable laws and regulations pertaining to fair wages and treatment, freedom of association, personal privacy, collective bargaining, workplace safety and environmental protection. Seller shall include the substance of this clause, including this flowdown requirement, in all subcontracts awarded by Seller for work under this Contract.
Leave of Absence for Full-Time Union or Public Duties An employee who is elected or selected for a full-time position with the Union or anybody with which the Union is affiliated, or who is elected to public office, shall be granted leave of absence without pay and without loss of seniority.
Full-Time Union Office Upon application by the Union, in writing, the Hospital will give reasonable consideration to a request for leave of absence, without pay, to an employee elected or appointed to full time Union office. It is understood that no more than one (1) employee in the bargaining unit may be on such leave at the same time. Such leave, if granted, shall be for a period of one (1) calendar year (in the case of the Union President, two (2) calendar years) from the date of appointment unless extended for a further specific period by agreement of the parties. Seniority and service shall accumulate during such leave to the maximum provided, if any, under the provisions of the Collective Agreement. It will become the responsibility of the employee for full payment of any applicable benefits in which the employee is participating during such leave of absence.
Federation Leave A leave of absence for the president and a second position of the Federation shall be granted to any employee covered by this Agreement upon application by the Federation for the purpose of the employee serving as an officer of the Federation. The District shall continue to pay such employee(s) and provide benefits, with the exception of leave benefits, but will be reimbursed by the Federation for the cost of salary and fringe benefits. Upon return from such leaves, an employee shall proceed on the salary schedule as if s/he had been employed with the District each year of the leave. The Federation agrees to consider carefully each request for release time for Federation members. Although leaves for short terms without loss of pay may be granted upon approval by the Office of the Superintendent, the Federation shall reimburse the District for the cost of salaries and fringe benefits.
Leave for Union Office Upon request of the Union's President, the Employer will grant leaves of absence without pay to bargaining unit employees who serve as Union representatives or officers for up to one- hundred twenty (120) days, if it is consistent with operational needs. This leave will be for no more than one time per year per employee and no more than fifteen (15) employees per year who must be from different Departments. Such employees will not be separated from the payroll and will be restored to their previous positions at the conclusion of such leaves.
Residence Community Living Standards The Residence Community Living Standards (“RCLS”) forms a part of this Agreement. It details the rights, responsibilities, and privileges of Residents as well as the residence conduct process. Each Resident is responsible for reading, understanding, and adhering to the terms outlined within the RCLS. The Manager and the Institution may amend the terms of the RCLS from time to time and may post the amendments in the Residence. Failure to abide by the RCLS may result in eviction from Residence and termination of this Agreement as per the violations and sanctions outlined in the RCLS, and as stated in section 8.01(d). Local Business Enterprise and Non-Discrimination in Contracting Ordinance Contractor shall comply with all applicable provisions of Chapter 14B (“LBE Ordinance”). Contractor is subject to the enforcement and penalty provisions in Chapter 14B. Contractor shall utilize LBE Subcontractors for at least [enter percentage] of the Services except as otherwise authorized in writing by the Director of CMD. Contractor shall incorporate the requirements of the LBE Ordinance in each subcontract made in the fulfillment of Contractor’s LBE subcontracting commitments.
