On-Call Nonpermanent Substitutes Sample Clauses

On-Call Nonpermanent Substitutes. The parties recognize that the need exists to establish nonpermanent positions the duties and requirements of which are similar to permanent positions in the bargaining unit. Specifically, there exists a need for such positions whose incumbent(s) are on-call to temporarily substitute for other members of the bargaining unit; therefore, the parties agree to the following terms and conditions of employment for such personnel:

  • On-Call Duty (a) Employees shall be paid one (1) hour of pay at the regular straight time rate for each six (6) hours of assigned on-call duty. Employees who are assigned on-call duty for less than six (6) hours shall be paid on a prorated basis.

  • STRIKES AND LOCKOUTS The Union agrees during the term of this Agreement there will be no slowdown or strike, stoppage of work or refusal to work or to continue to work. The Employer agrees that during the term of this Agreement there will be no lockout.

  • STRIKES OR LOCKOUTS 5.01 During the term of this Agreement, or while negotiations for a further agreement are being held the Union will not permit or encourage any strike, slowdown, or any stoppage of work or otherwise restrict or interfere with the Employer's operation through its members.

  • STRIKES, LOCKOUTS AND PICKET LINES ‌ The Union agrees that during the life of this Agreement, the Union or its bargaining unit members will not authorize, instigate, aid or engage in any work stoppage, slowdown, sick-out, refusal to work, picketing or strike against the Employer and the Agency, its goods or on its property. The Agency agrees that during the life of this Agreement there will be no lockout.
