UNION RECOGNITION AND REPRESENTATION. 12.1 The Contractor(s) recognizes the Unions signatory hereto as the sole and exclusive collective bargaining representatives for all craft employees on the Project.
12.2 No employee covered by this Agreement can be required to join any Union as a condition of being first employed on the Project; provided, however, that an employee who is a member of the referring Union at the time of referral shall maintain that membership while employed on a Project subject to this Agreement. All employees shall comply with the Union Security provision of the applicable craft local collective bargaining agreement for the period during which they are performing Project construction work on the property of the District, except as modified by this Agreement. The Contractor(s) agree to deduct initiation fees, Union dues or representation fees from the pay of any employee who executes a voluntary authorization for such deductions and to remit the dues and fees to the applicable Union or Council.
12.3 Authorized representatives of the Unions shall have access to the site at all times when work is being, has been or will be performed. Such representatives shall comply with the reasonable visitor safety and security rules established for the Project. Access for Union representatives will not be unduly restricted.
12.4 A Xxxxxxx shall be a working journeyman appointed in writing by the authorized union representative of the Local Union(s) who shall, in addition to work as a journeyman, be permitted to perform during working hours such Union(s) duties as cannot be performed at other times which consists of those duties assigned by the Business Manager or Business Agent. The Union(s) agrees that such duties shall be performed as expeditiously as possible and the Contractor(s) agrees to allow the Xxxxxxx a reasonable amount of time for the performance of such duties. The Xxxxxxx shall not leave the work area without notifying the appropriate supervisor.
12.5 The Xxxxxxx will be paid at the journeyman wage for the job classification in which the Xxxxxxx is employed.
12.6 The treatment of stewards shall be in accordance with the applicable craft agreement.
UNION RECOGNITION AND REPRESENTATION. Section 1. The Contractor recognizes the Union as the sole and exclusive bargaining representative of all craft employees working on facilities within the scope of this Agreement.
Section 2. Authorized representatives of the Union shall have access to the Project, provided they do not interfere with the work of employees and further provided that such representatives fully comply with the posted visitor and security and safety rules of the Project.
UNION RECOGNITION AND REPRESENTATION. 3.01 The Company recognizes the Union as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for all employees employed by Coca-Cola Bottling Company at their plants in the City of Winnipeg, in the Province of Manitoba, excluding office and clerical staff, sales representatives, sales execution specialists, supervisors, those above the rank of supervisor, and those excluded by the Manitoba Labour Relations Act.
3.02 All present employees who are members of the Union shall maintain that membership in good standing as a condition of employment and all persons who may hereafter become employees shall become and remain members in good standing of the Union as a condition of employment.
3.03 The Company shall deduct from the wages of each employee, the amount of the regular membership dues payable by a member of the Union.
3.04 Union dues and initiation fees shall be submitted in one sum to the Treasurer of the Union prior to the 15th day of the month following the month in which such deductions were made, together with a list of the names of employees from whom dues have been deducted and the amounts so deducted from each employee. The amount of Union dues deducted from employees during the calendar year shall be shown on each employee’s T-4 slip.
(a) The Union shall advise the Company of the amount of any initiation fees or special assessments to be deducted by the Company from the wages of employees. The Union shall notify the Company in writing of any changes in the amount of monthly dues, initiation fees or assessments at least one month in advance of the end of the pay period in which the deductions are to be made.
(b) Every new employee shall complete and sign an application for membership in the Union and an authorization for deduction from their pay of such amount as may be at that time certified by the Union to the Company as being the amount of the Union’s standard initiation fee.
(c) The application for Union membership and authorization for the deduction of initiation fees and dues shall be on forms supplied by the Union.
3.06 The Union shall indemnify and save the Company harmless from any and all claims, demands and proceedings that may arise from any deductions or any related action or actions.
3.07 Upon receipt of a duly signed application for membership, the Union shall grant membership in the Union to an employee applying for same and any employee granted membership in the Union shall be deemed to maintain membership in good standing provided they pay, i...
UNION RECOGNITION AND REPRESENTATION. 3.1 The Employer recognizes the United Food And Commercial Workers International Union Local 1518 as the exclusive bargaining agent for all bargaining unit employees as described in Labour Relations Board Certificate dated December 2nd, 1999 consisting of employees at 0000 Xxxxxxxxxx Xxxx, Xxxxxxxxxx, XX except office and sales staff.
3.2 The Union Business Agent will be entitled to visit the plant to discuss, working conditions, labour issues and resolve conflict that arises out of any disagreement between the employees and management.
3.3 The Union Business Agent, prior to entering and before visiting the plant, shall contact the management representative and seek permission to visit the plant.
3.4 Upon arrival to the plant, the Union Representative shall notify the Management representative of his/her presence and will sign in as a visitor at the front office before going to the desired location.
3.5 The Union Business Agent shall meet with bargaining unit employees in designated areas only during the employees’ non-working time.
3.6 When in the plant, the Union Business Agent will observe and follow all plant safety rules, policies and procedures.
3.7 Under no circumstances will the Union Business Agent or Shop Xxxxxxx interrupt, disrupt or stop any employee while engaged in the performance of their duties. If the Union Business Agent or Shop Xxxxxxx wishes to speak to any employee he/she shall first obtain permission from their supervisor or manager who shall not unreasonably deny or delay this request.
(a) The Company shall make it a condition of employment for all newly hired employees, covered by this Agreement, to fill out a Union membership form.
(b) A new employee will receive a Union orientation following the employment orientation, to be provided by the Chief Shop Xxxxxxx or his/her designate. Such orientation will be on Company time, but will not exceed half (1/2) an hour, and will not be held on overtime hours.
(c) For New Hires, the Union orientation will be held by the Chief Shop Xxxxxxx, to discuss union related matters, once every thirty (30) days or on an as-needed basis.
UNION RECOGNITION AND REPRESENTATION. 12.1 No employee covered by this Agreement shall be required to join any Union as a condition of being employed, or remaining employed, for the completion of construction craft work under the Scope of this Agreement. All employees shall, however, be required to tender dues and fees uniformly required to be paid by members to the appropriate Union on or before the eighth (8th) day of consecutive or cumulative employment on construction craft work under the Scope of this Agreement.

(a) The Contractor(s) recognize the signatory Unions as the sole and exclusive bargaining representatives of all craft employees within their respective jurisdictions working on the Project within the scope of this PLA.
(b) Becoming and remaining a member of the Union shall not be a requirement for employment under this PLA.
(c) The Contractor(s) agree to deduct Union Dues or Representation Fees and remit same to the Union on a monthly basis for any employee that signs an authorization form (Attachment A).
