City Manager City of Xxxxxxxx River First Vice-President CUPE Local 401 Second Vice-President CUPE Local 401 LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING #7 between the CITY OF XXXXXXXX RIVER and the CANADIAN UNION OF PUBLIC EMPLOYEES, Local 401 RE: ELECTRICAL AND INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician position has been established within the Utilities Department. The parties agree that the base rate for this position will be $33.75 per hour, which is equivalent to Pay Grade 16 in Schedule A, based on the June 26, 2016 Collective Agreement rates. This base rate will apply when the incumbent is performing electrical work. The parties agree that when the incumbent is performing instrumentation work, the rate of pay will be $34.34 per hour. This rate is based on a calculation which presumes the incumbent will be performing instrumentation work approximately 20% of the time, as follows: ($33.75 x 80%) + ($36.68 x 20%) = $34.34. Both rates of pay will attract the negotiated increases in the Collective Agreement. This agreement will become effective on the date of signing, with no retroactive payment to the incumbent.
