OTHER DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES. 11.1. The Department shall support the Contractor in the performance of its data governance responsibilities as set forth in Exhibit C Section 28 by assigning data stewards that advise the Contractor on the provenance of data that Contractor is to import to the BIDM. The Department’s data stewards will participate in an Enterprise Data Governance Team for the BIDM Contract as defined in the Communication Management Plan. The data stewards assigned by the Department will have expertise in the source of the data if the data is generated by a Department-controlled system, or will serve as the liaison to the external authority that originates the data. The data stewards shall be empowered by the Department to assist the Contractor in identifying the origin of data elements, selecting data elements for inclusion in the BIDM, clarifying the business meaning of data elements, obtaining content for metadata, confirming valid data values, developing and updating the Interface Control Documents (ICDs), resolving data quality issues with the owners of the source data systems, and making decisions on data quality acceptability.

  • Department Responsibilities The use of sick leave may properly be denied if these procedures are not followed. Abuse of sick leave on the part of the employee is cause for disciplinary action. Departmental approval of sick leave is a certification of the legitimacy of the sick leave claim. The department head or designee may make reasonable inquiries about employee absences. The department may require medical verification for an absence of three (3) or more working days. The department may also require medical verification for absences of less than three (3) working days for probable cause if the employee had been notified in advance in writing that such verification was necessary.
