Other Professional Staff/Licensed Professionals. Other professional staff employees include: Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, LPN, RN, Child Development Specialist, Assistive Technology Specialist, XXXX’x, PTA’s and may include BCBA, Educational Interpreters, Translators, and Teaching Partners. The probationary period is defined as one calendar year commencing with the first day on which duties are performed as an employee covered by this agreement. Other professional employees who have completed the probationary period shall not be dismissed for performance-based reasons without at least one documented attempt at remediation. At the request of the Union, the Superintendent shall discuss the termination of probationary employees with the Union. Probationary employees under this subparagraph B shall have no seniority, except as otherwise provided in this Agreement, until he/she has completed the probationary period. Upon completion of the probationary period, he/she shall acquire seniority retroactively from the date of employment. Completion of the probationary period does not entitle an employee to a just cause standard for discipline or dismissal.
