Common use of Overtime and Overtime Compensation Clause in Contracts

Overtime and Overtime Compensation. (a) Employees requested to work in excess of the normal daily full shift hours, as outlined in Article 23.02, or who are requested to work on their scheduled off-duty days. (b) Employees shall be paid the rate of time-and-one-half (1½) of their basic hourly rate of pay for the first four (4) hours in excess of eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours per week, and double-time (2x) thereafter. (c) Employees required to work on a scheduled day off shall receive the overtime rate, but shall not have the day off rescheduled.
