Overtime Entitlement Sample Clauses

The Overtime Entitlement clause defines an employee's right to receive additional compensation for hours worked beyond their standard work schedule. Typically, this clause outlines the threshold at which overtime pay begins, such as after 40 hours in a workweek, and specifies the applicable overtime rate, often one and a half times the regular hourly wage. By clearly establishing when and how overtime is compensated, this clause ensures fair treatment of employees and helps employers comply with labor laws, thereby reducing disputes over extra work hours.
