Common use of Overtime on Days of Rest Clause in Contracts

Overtime on Days of Rest. Authorized overtime work performed on the first day of rest shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half for the first seven and one-half hours worked (unless Article 22.01(b) applies) and double time thereafter. Authorized overtime work performed on the second and subsequent days of rest shall be paid at the rate of double time. (Travel, except for travel on duty as defined in Article 22.07, and meal periods do not constitute work.)
