Overtime – Specific Application. A. This provision does not apply to situations where an employee is scheduled to work, or is called in to work for only the period of up to four (4) hours prior to the start of the scheduled shift and has not performed any additional work during the eight (8) hour period prior to the start of the shift. B. For every unscheduled hour worked during the four (4) hour period immediately prior to a regularly scheduled shift, the employee shall be paid at two (2) times their regular rate of pay. This is in lieu of, and not in addition to any other guaranteed overtime rate or premium, and subject to the restrictions in 6.3.2.A above. C. Compensatory time earned and used within the same work day under this provision shall be accounted for if used, but shall not count towards the employee’s cap on comp time bank. D. Comp time accrued and not used shall remain subject to the requirements of Article 6.
