Common use of Paid Time Off Program Clause in Contracts

Paid Time Off Program. The Paid Time Off (PTO) program provides eligible nurses with appropriate compensation during holidays, vacation time, and periods of illness or injury for the nurse or to care for a dependent child (including child over 18 years old with a disability) with a health condition that requires treatment or supervision, or to care for a spouse, parent, parent-in-law, grandparent or domestic partner of a nurse in the event of a serious health condition or an emergency condition pursuant to the requirements of this Article and subject to related Employer policies. The purpose is to allow each eligible nurse to utilize PTO as the nurse determines best fits the nurse's personal needs or desires.
