Common use of Part Time Utilization Information Clause in Contracts

Part Time Utilization Information. The Hospital agrees to supply the local union with hours utilization by department, at the time specified for the posting of seniority lists. The Hospital further agrees to supply the Union, upon request, with other information that is reasonably related to utilization. The parties may discuss utilization through the Committee. The Hospital agrees to consider Union proposals for alternate distribution of hours between part-time and full-time. The Union recognizes the Hospital's right to determine such utilization. The Parties have a mutual interest in the provision of quality patient care. Therefore, where an employee, or group of employees, covered by this agreement and governed by an Ontario College under the Health Disciplines Act, have cause to believe that they are being asked to perform more work than is consistent with proper patient care it is agreed by the parties that such workload problems may be discussed by the local Labour Management Committee. Such complaint must be filed in writing within fifteen (15) calendar days of the alleged improper assignment. If, thorough investigation, no consensus can be reached at Labour Management Committee the parties will meet with the Chief Executive Officer Chief Operating Officer (COO) within thirty (30) days of referral to present the issues. The will notify the Union of the decision in writing within fourteen (14) days. Where the employer requires employees who work in a classification for which there is a professional College under the to also maintain membership in a professional association, the requirement for such membership may be the topic of local negotiations, as described in the Memorandum of Conditions for Joint Bargaining.
