The organizational structures described below will help to advance collaboration as we work toward this goal. SPS recognizes that commitment to institutionalizing racial equity is essential for the success of all learning communities; therefore, all organizational structures must commit to make racial equity at the core of their charge(s). There is not the luxury of time – each day that passes without every effort being made to ensure that all students can reach the standards set by SPS for every student to be able to know and do upon graduation is a breach of our collective responsibility to provide a quality education. Paraprofessionals, SAEOPS, and Certificated staff are all part of the process. The principles and beliefs set forth in the Preamble of this Agreement will guide the work detailed below.

  • Professional and Education Leaves (a) Leave of absence with pay or without pay may be granted to employees to attend professional and educational meetings, courses, or other events which may be judged beneficial to the employee's professional development, especially as it relates to her responsibilities with the Employer.
