ALL STUDENTS. If a student fails to occupy his/her room after August 21, 2018, the room may be reassigned if proper notice is not given to Campus Housing that the student will arrive late. A student who enrolls in classes and fails to occupy his/her assigned room will be responsible for paying the full housing fee for the space. All rights will be forfeited if the assigned student does not timely occupy the space, as required above.
a) The only reasons a student will be released from the housing contract after August 21, 2018 will be:
(1) Withdrawal/Transfer/Leave of Absence/Graduation from College of Charleston
(2) Academically ineligible to return
(3) Study Abroad/National Exchange
(4) Full-time Internship outside of Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester Counties
(5) Marriage
(6) Induction into the military service/military absences that necessitate a change in residence b) Students must notify Campus Housing in writing if they are cancelling the housing contract for one of the six reasons stated above. If the student has moved into the residence halls, the housing fees will be prorated based on the date that the student moves out of his/her residence hall and returns the residence hall room key. If the student does not move into the residence halls and it is after opening day, a cancellation penalty of $200 will be charged to the student’s eBill account.
c) Notification of withdrawal, transfer, leave of absence, academic exclusion, study abroad, full- time internship, marriage or induction into military service to another campus department or office does not constitute a valid withdrawal from Campus Housing. The student must notify Campus Housing in writing, check-out of the assigned residence hall and return his/her room key. Students will be responsible for all room charges based on when the room keys are returned and the date of check-out.
d) Students who are dropped from their classes or become ineligible to enroll in classes must vacate their room assignment/residence hall within 2 business days. Students will be responsible for all room charges based on when the room keys are returned and the date of check-out.
e) If a student is released from the contract due to withdrawal, transfer, or leave of absence from the college and then re-enrolls at the College during the term of the contract, the College will require the student to be financially liable for housing fees during the agreement period.

ALL STUDENTS a. Shall protect and manage personal data in a safe manner by never posting, or otherwise distributing personal information such as photographs, home addresses, telephone numbers, parents’ work addresses or telephone numbers or the name and location of the school;
b. Shall respect networking protections and security within the school infrastructures by working within the designated login and security parameters and never reconfiguring or hacking any school hardware, software, or network settings;
c. Shall use school issued email accounts for authorized educational purposes only;
d. Shall respect the right of the school to monitor student use of technology.
ALL STUDENTS a. Shall always represent themselves in a manner that respects the values of the Catholic Church when using electronic devices, network and the Internet and demonstrate an understanding that digital content is everlasting, even when deleted or within privacy settings;
b. Shall only use accounts assigned to them or authorized by the school, supporting others’ positive digital identity by not accessing the accounts of others or falsely representing themselves as others;
c. Shall keep all accounts and password information private and secure.
ALL STUDENTS. I understand that to break this student agreement may mean I have to stop attending RCS lessons and classes for a period of time, which could ultimately lead to the discontinuation of my studies at the RCS.
ALL STUDENTS. Any child who leaves the school grounds without permission violates school policy and will be subject to disciplinary action. Parental support is expected. Students who do not correct inappropriate behavior will be counseled by teacher, administration and parents. If the results show no change in the behavior of the student, parents will be asked to remove their child from school. The school reserves the right to inspect all property. This includes school lockers and backpacks.
ALL STUDENTS. All cancellations must be in writing to the Office of Residential Education. Notice of cancellation to Admissions, Financial Aid, Fiscal Services or Registrar’s office does not constitute notice of cancellation of this Agreement. The Office of Residential Education must be notified in writing.
