Common use of Pay During Leave of Absence for Union Work or Conventions Clause in Contracts

Pay During Leave of Absence for Union Work or Conventions. An employee shall receive the pay and benefits provided for in this Agreement when on unpaid leave of absence for Union work or conventions. However, the Union shall reimburse the Employer within thirty (30) days for all pay and benefits during the period of absence.

However, appointed to represent the Union shall reimburse at a conference, convention, Union education workshops/courses or other Union business (including grievances and Executive positions) to a maximum of ten (10) working days per year to be distributed at the Employer within thirty (30) days for all pay and benefits during the period of absenceUnion's discretion.

However, the Union shall reimburse the Employer within thirty (30) days for all any pay over and benefits above these stipulated amounts during the period of absence.
