Employer and Union Shall Acquaint Potential Employees. 6.01 The Employer agrees to acquaint potential Employees with the fact that a Union agreement is in effect.
6.02 Within thirty (30) days of employment the Xxxxxxx or representative shall introduce him/herself to the new Employee as the Employee’s Union Xxxxxxx or representative. The Xxxxxxx or representative shall provide such Employee with a copy of the Collective Agreement and the Constitution and By-Laws of the Union, and will be given an opportunity to interview each new Employee within regular working hours, without loss of pay, for a maximum of thirty (30) minutes, for the purpose of acquainting the new Employee with the benefits and duties of Union membership and Employee’s responsibilities and obligations to the Employer and the Union.
6.03 If Employees are on shift at the time of union meetings, they may be expected to forego the union meeting and continue with their job functions or attend union meetings and be docked pay or use compensatory time with the prior approval of the Employer and as long as necessary coverage is maintained.
Employer and Union Shall Acquaint Potential Employees. 6.01 The Employer agrees to inform employees with the fact that a Collective Agreement is in effect and to give a copy of the Collective Agreement and Benefits Handbook to the employee along with the names of the President, Chief Xxxxxxx and stewards. The Employer, on a monthly basis shall forward to the Union a list of new employees.

6.02 It is mutually agreed that a Union representative shall be given the opportunity for meeting each new employee, during their orientation, at the main office, for a period of fifteen (15) minutes for the purpose of informing such employee of the existence of the Union and presenting such employee with a copy of the Collective Agreement.

Employer and Union Shall Acquaint Potential Employees. 7.01 The Employer agrees to acquaint newly hired employees with the fact that a Union agreement is in effect and with the conditions of employment set out in the articles dealing with dues check-off.
7.02 During his or her orientation with the Employer the new employee shall be introduced to the Xxxxxxx. The new employee shall be entitled to one (1) hour orientation meeting with the Xxxxxxx or designate, within her scheduled working hours. When possible such meeting shall be arranged by the employee’s Supervisor during the first ten (10) working days of employment.
Employer and Union Shall Acquaint Potential Employees. 7.01 The Employer agrees that a Union representative shall be allowed a reasonable period not to exceed fifteen minutes during regular working hours to interview newly hired employees during their general orientation. During such interview, membership forms may be provided to the employee. These interviews shall be scheduled in advance by the Employer and may be arranged collectively or individually.
Employer and Union Shall Acquaint Potential Employees. 6.01 Within the first two weeks of employment, the employee’s Supervisor shall introduce the new employee to her/his union xxxxxxx and provide employees with copies of the Collective Agreement. The xxxxxxx, or an Office of the Union, will meet with the employee for a period of up to twenty (20) minutes without loss of pay or benefits for the purpose of acquainting the new employee with the benefits and duties of union membership and her/his responsibilities and obligations with respect to the collective agreement.

7.02 The Employer will give every new employee a copy of the Collective Agreement, as supplied by the Local Union, upon commencing employment. On commencing employment, the employee’s immediate supervisor shall introduce the new employee to his/her Union xxxxxxx or representative. An officer of the Union shall be given an opportunity to interview each new employee within regular working hours, without loss of pay, for a maximum of thirty (30) minutes at a time mutually agreed upon during the first month of employment for the purposes of acquainting the new employee with the benefits and duties of Union membership and his/her responsibilities and obligations to the Employer and the Union.
