Common use of Pay for Acting Employees Clause in Contracts

Pay for Acting Employees. (a) When an employee is temporarily assigned to the principal duties of a higher paying position at an hourly rate of pay, he/she shall receive immediately the rate for the job for a minimum of three (3) hours or for the actual time worked in the higher rated job, whichever is greater. When an employee is assigned to a position paying a lower rate, such employee shall incur no reduction in pay.
