Retirement Counselling. An employee who is within ten (10) years of reaching their minimum retirement age shall be granted up to one (1) paid day/shift leave of absence to attend a retirement planning seminar provided by the Pension Corporation.

Where employees, who are within ten (10) years of minimum retirement age, wish to register in a retirement planning seminar, they will be granted a maximum of one (1) day (shift) leave of absence with pay to attend one (1) retirement planning seminar that falls within the normally scheduled work day.

The Employer also shall reimburse the cost of individual retirement counselling services up to the value of $400.00, on a one-time basis, to advise an Employee on retirement planning. The counselling service(s) engaged for this purpose shall be chosen by the Employee. The Employee shall provide an original receipt to the Vice-President (Academic and Research) when requesting reimbursement from the Employer.
Retirement Counselling. The University shall endeavour to organize pre-retirement counselling programs to assist employees in the retirement zone in preparing for changes in their work and life incident to eventual retirement. Furthermore, the Human Resources Department, the Finance Department, the Counselling Services, the Health Clinic and any other department or service of the University which may be helpful shall be available for advice on any individual problem facing an employee in the retirement zone.
Retirement Counselling. During the term of this Agreement, the Employer shall give positive consideration to developing and promoting a counselling program for retiring employees, consistent with the expected requirements of such employees.
Retirement Counselling. Section 1 The Office will arrange for at least one retirement seminar each year. The seminar shall include specific information on the trial retirement program and shall relate prior experience under it.
Section 2 All bargaining unit members currently eligible or within two years of retirement eligibility may attend. Attendance of any person will be limited to a maximum of once every two years.
Section 3 Attendance at this seminar will be considered training.
Section 4 The Office shall provide information assistance necessary for employees considering retirement.

The ‘Short Term Sickness Plan and Long Term Insurance Protection as defined in Articles and will cease at the end of the month in which the employee turns In the case of reorganization of a department or division, the Employer shall consult the Union in advance of reorganization.
