Common use of Pay for Shortened Recuperation Period Clause in Contracts

Pay for Shortened Recuperation Period. If an Employee who is subject to a recuperation period pursuant to Clause 16.09(a) above is asked by the Employer to commence his or her next shift prior to the end of the recuperation period, and the Employee agrees, the Employee shall be paid at double time (2X) rates for each remaining hour, or portion thereof, of the recuperation period which coincides with the working hours of such shift, plus his or her full salary for such shift paid at straight-time (1X) rates.
