Payment in Lieu of Long Service Leave. A Teacher in the ACT with seven years' continuous service with the School may cash out an amount of additional long service leave accumulated by the Teacher which is in excess of their entitlements under the LSL Act (ACT) (this means long service leave accrued in excess of 0.866 weeks per year in accordance with clause 20.10(c). A Teacher in NSW with 10 years’ continuous service with the School may cash out an amount of additional long service leave accumulated by the Teacher which is in excess of their entitlements under the LSL Act (NSW) (this means long service leave accrued in excess of 0.866 weeks per year in accordance with clause 20.10(c). Cashing Out of Long Service Leave (i) the Teacher elects to cash out some or all of that portion of their accrued long service leave which is the leave accrued in excess of 0.866 weeks per year; (ii) the Teacher provides a written election to the School stating that the Teacher wishes to cash out the accrued long service leave; and (iii) the School, in its discretion, authorises the Teacher to cash out the accrued long service leave. If a Teacher cashes out an amount of accrued long service leave in accordance with this clause 20.10: (i) the School will, within a reasonable time, give the Teacher the amount of pay they would have received if they had taken the long service leave that the Teacher cashed out; and (ii) the Teacher will no longer be entitled to the long service leave they have cashed out.

(i) A Teacher employed in the ACT a NSW School with seven 10 years' continuous service with the School may cash out an amount of additional long service leave accumulated by the Teacher which is in excess of their entitlements under the LSL Act. (This means long service leave accrued in excess of 0.866 weeks per year.) (ii) A Teacher employed in an ACT School with 7 years’ continuous service with the School may cash out an amount of additional long service leave accumulated by the Teacher which is in excess of their entitlements under the LSL Act (ACT) (this means long service leave accrued in excess of 0.866 weeks per year in accordance with clause 20.10(cyear). A . (iii) Subject to the Teacher in NSW with having 10 years’ continuous service with the School may cash out an amount of additional service, long service leave accumulated by may be cashed out on the Teacher which is in excess of their entitlements under the LSL Act (NSW) (this means long service leave accrued in excess of 0.866 weeks per year in accordance with clause 20.10(c). Cashing Out of Long Service Leavefollowing basis: (iA) the Teacher elects to cash out some or all of that portion of their accrued long service leave which is the leave accrued in excess of 0.866 weeks per year; (iiB) the Teacher provides a written election to the School stating that the Teacher wishes to cash out the accrued long service leave; and (iiiC) the School, in its discretion, authorises the Teacher to cash out the accrued long service leave. . (iv) If a Teacher cashes out an amount of accrued long service leave in accordance with this clause 20.10clause: (iA) the School will, within a reasonable time, give the Teacher the amount of pay they would have received if they had taken the long service leave that the Teacher cashed out; and (iiB) the Teacher will no longer be entitled to the long service leave they have cashed out.
