Long Service Leave (LSL). 36.1 If any provisions of this clause are less favourable for Employees than the equivalent provisions in the Long Service Leave Act 1958 (WA) (LSL Act), the provisions in the LSL Act will apply.

Long Service Leave (LSL). Employees are entitled to accrue and access LSL in accordance with the Long Service Leave (Commonwealth Employees) Act 1976. The minimum amount of accrued LSL that an employee may take at any one time is seven calendar days at full pay or 14 calendar days at half pay.
Long Service Leave (LSL). The provisions of the Long Service Leave (Commonwealth Employees) Xxx 0000 apply under this agreement. The minimum period of LSL that can be taken is seven consecutive calendar days at full pay. Otherwise, LSL in excess of seven days may be taken at half pay, provided the minimum at half pay is 14 days. A period of LSL cannot be broken by a period of annual leave.

Long Service Leave (LSL). ‌ 28.1 Long Service Leave will be in accordance with the provisions of the NSW Long Service Leave Act. Subject to the terms of this Clause the following will apply: 28.2 Full Time employees will accrue LSL on the basis of: 0.866 weeks for each year of continuous employment at the site (i.e. 8 & 2/3rd weeks after 10 years continuous employment); 28.3 Any accrued LSL will be applicable for payment as per the following: 28.3.1 For employees with continuous employment greater than 5 years but less than 10 years, any accrued entitlements are assessable if the employment contract is terminated by the employee due to ill health or pressing domestic necessity proven to the satisfaction of the Company, or for any purposes where the Company instigates the termination other than in circumstances of proven misconduct. 28.3.2 For employees with continuous employment greater than 10 years any accrued entitlements are assessable on termination of the employment contract for any reasons irrespective which party instigates the termination. 28.3.3 For employees who remain in the employment of the Company and wish to commence a period of LSL, then such a request will be agreed subject only to the needs of the business, provided the following applies: 28.3.3.1 The employee must have no less than 10 years continuous employment; and 28.3.3.2 A minimum of one (1) months written notice must be given.
Long Service Leave (LSL). An Employee who has completed ten (10) years of continuous service with the Building Commission is entitled to three (3) months Long Service Leave (LSL) with pay. For each additional period of five (5) years continuous service after the first ten (10) years of continuous employment, an Employee will be entitled to 1.5 months LSL with pay. An Employee may access this entitlement, on a pro-rata basis, after an initial seven (7) years of continuous service. Once eligible for LSL after seven (7) years, the Employee will have pro-rata access to their entitlement as additional LSL accrues. An Employee may take or reduce their entitlement in a number of ways. These are: • At the standard rate; or • At half the time accrued at double the pay; or • By ‘cashing out’ all or part of accrued LSL in minimum intervals of calendar months or half a month. LSL may only be taken or cashed out in multiples of calendar months (one calendar month equals 30 days) or minimum blocks of half months (15 days). LSL is to be taken at a time which is mutually convenient to the Employee and the Commission with the exception that the Employee’s total accumulated LSL credits must not exceed 4.5 months unless agreed to in writing between the Commissioner and the Employee. New Employees may have prior service with government bodies and/or statutory authorities recognised. Consideration will only be given where the length of service was insufficient to cash out the benefit or take the leave prior to seeking employment with the Commission and where the following circumstances exist: a) period of prior service to be recognised is no less than five (5) years, and b) the former organisation will transfer the monetary amount to the Commission to cover this accrual, and c) where there has been no more than two (2) month’s break between ceasing with the former Employer and commencing service with the Commission, and d) where the Employee has not received any payment for this leave from the former Employer, and e) the Employee undertakes to complete a minimum of two (2) years service before applying for long service leave. Employees seeking to apply for recognition of prior service must do so within three (3) months of commencing employment with the Commission. Employees are entitled to days in lieu of public holidays which fall during any period of LSL. Such time will be added to the end of any LSL. Long Service Leave (LSL). These provisions provide for one week of LSL following completion of 10 years’ current continuous service and one week of LSL following completion of 15 years’ current continuous service. Employees with less than 10 years’ service, as at date of ratification, will have entitlement to one week of LSL after 10 years’ current continuous service and a further one week of LSL following completion of 15 years’ current continuous service. Current staff with service between 10 and 15 years current continuous service will have the option of taking two weeks LSL at 15 years or one week before their 15 year entitlement arrives and then one on completion of 15 years’ service. There will be no additional entitlements for staff who have already completed fifteen years’ service. i. An employee shall be entitled to paid special holidays for long service, in addition to annual leave, as follows: ii. One special holiday of two weeks after the completion of 15 years and before the completion of 25 years current continuous service. iii. One special holiday of three weeks after the completion of 25 years and before the completion of 35 years current continuous service. iv. One special holiday of five weeks after the completion of 35 years current continuous service.

Long Service Leave (LSL). Long Service Leave (LSL) accrues fortnightly. The Long Service Leave (portable) Act 2009 (ACT) will apply to Marymead employees with the following variations: • LSL entitlements will accrue at the rate of 0.3 of a month per year of service. This means, for example, that an employee will accrue 2.1 months of LSL after 7 years of service; • At the discretion of the CEO, on the recommendation of the Team Leader and Manager, and conditional on the employee completing satisfactory annual appraisals (or there are no performance or other issues), employees may be given access to LSL after a period of five years. If an employee leaves Marymead and is entitled to transfer their LSL to another organisation, Marymead will transfer the entitlement applicable under the Long Service (portable) Act 1976 (ACT) and as amended.
