PEST CONTROL AND SANITATION. A. The Division reserves the right to enter Lessee’s apartment during all reasonable hours to conduct inspections for reasons of sanitation or pest control. Whenever feasible, the Division will provide at least 24 hours advance notice before entry. B. The Division reserves the right to treat Lessee’s apartment for pest control after giving the Lessee 24 hour advance notice. Lessee is required to prepare the apartment for pest treatments as directed. Failure to comply with pest control inspection or treatment instructions or failure to maintain proper sanitation may result in monetary charges to Lessee, or non-renewal or termination of the Lease by the Division. C. Lessee should immediately report to the Division any noticed pest control concern. Pest control inspections or treatments requested by Lessee will be performed as soon as possible without 24 hours advance notice. D. The Division reserves the right to enter a Lessee’s apartment during all reasonable hours to respond to emergency pest control issues. E. The course of any pest control treatment will be determined by Division, in consultation with the contracted pest control service and UW-Madison Environmental Health Services. The Division reserves the right to seek monetary reimbursement from the Lessee for the costs of any pest control treatment which is required to eradicate a pest control problem caused by the negligence or inattention of Lessee. F. The Division further reserves the right to require Lessee, as a condition of further occupancy of the leased premises, to remove from the leased premises any item or object which, in the sole discretion of the Division, is determined to be a contributing factor to a pest infestation or a which prevents effective pest control treatments.

One parking stall is provided per apartment. Additional parking is available on a first-come first-served basis for a fee. C. Assigned and paid parking stalls are reserved for resident use only. Resident vehicles must be registered with the University Apartments Office and must display applicable parking stickers and/or permits at all times. D. Vehicles in assigned or paid parking stalls must be licensed and operable. E. Violations of parking policies may result in parking tickets and/or towing at the expense of the vehicle owner. F.   • Pest Control Upon award, the Contractor shall manage all insect, weed and pest problems (as defined by Chapter 482, F.S.). In addition, any damage caused by pests during the implementation of the pest control program shall be immediately corrected by replacement with healthy turf or plants at the Contractor's expense. Pest Control program shall include, at a minimum, the following: 1) The Contractor shall inspect the entire property, including turf areas, shrubs, trees (including palms), and plants on a weekly basis for any pest infestation. All infestations, including disease, weeds, fire ants or other pests, shall be treated immediately upon discovery and notification by Performance Administrator or the Contractor. The County Performance Administrator must be informed of infestations discovered and treatments applied via email within 24 hours and included on the Monthly Vendor Inspection Report. All applications of pesticides shall be properly labeled by placards. 2) Application must comply with manufacturer’s recommendations. Every chemical substance used must be on the list of chemical substances or have been submitted for inclusion on such list, as compiled by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) pursuant to the Toxic Substances Control Act and in compliance with all Federal, State, and local pesticide laws and ordinances. Materials and application shall meet all Federal Health and Safety Laws currently in effect. Safety Data Sheets (SDS) must be submitted in writing two (2) days prior to contract start date or before the use of a new approved chemical intended for use on this contract. All chemicals used must carry an EPA approved number. 3) Pest Control Services shall be performed according to Integrated Pest Management Strategies to control all insect, wee, and pest problems as defined by all sections under Chapter 482, Florida Statues including proper licensure whether by the Contractor or a sub- contractor to be supplied with pre-bid package.

  • Federal Water Pollution Control Act The contractor agrees to comply with all applicable standards, orders, or regulations issued pursuant to the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, as amended, 33 U.S.C. 1251 et seq.

  • WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY The parties to this Agreement are committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace and work practices. The parties recognise that illness or injury at the workplace is costly to the employer and the employees and also disruptive to the respective parties. To facilitate healthy and safe work practices, the parties to the Agreement are committed to discussing health and safety issues as they apply to the operations of the employer as part of the consultative measures under this Agreement. The employer and employees under this agreement may refer to their respective industrial representatives for appropriate advice or expertise in enhancing performance with due regard to health and safety initiatives. The parties also recognise the importance of conducting regular audits of the employer's operations, policies and procedures including the employees' skills, knowledge, qualifications and application of healthy and safe work practices.

  • Erosion Prevention and Control Purchaser’s Operations shall be conducted reasonably to minimize soil erosion. Equipment shall not be operated when ground conditions are such that excessive damage will result. Purchaser shall adjust the kinds and intensity of erosion control work done to ground and weather condi- tions and the need for controlling runoff. Erosion control work shall be kept current immediately preceding ex- pected seasonal periods of precipitation or runoff.

  • CLEAN AIR ACT AND THE FEDERAL WATER POLLUTION CONTROL ACT (a) If the Sub-Recipient, with the funds authorized by this Agreement, enters into a contract that exceeds $150,000, then any such contract must include the following provision: Contractor agrees to comply with all applicable standards, orders or regulations issued pursuant to the Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C. 7401-7671q) and the Federal Water Pollution Control Act as amended (33 U.S.C. 1251-1387), and will report violations to FEMA and the Regional Office of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

  • Pollution Control The Employer and the Union agree to limit all forms of environmental pollution.

  • Workplace Safety The parties to this Agreement commit themselves to achieving the highest possible standards of occupational health and safety including adherence to the consultative and issue resolution processes included herein. Participation in and support for building and construction industry initiatives to improve construction industry standards in occupational health and safety will form an important part of this commitment. Observance of relevant Acts, Regulations, and Codes of Practice are the minimum level acceptable to enable employers and employees to meet their responsibilities and to work safely and follow health and safety rules in their workplace. On all sites there will be developed a site safety plan and job specific ‘job safety analysis’ to identify and manage the risks associated with work on each particular site. Such safety plan will include suitable procedures for personnel/material access, and site evacuation procedures. The Incolink Safety Handbook ‘SAFE’ (as amended) is endorsed by this Agreement as a proper guide and reference source for safety management and control of risks. 1) The parties agree that the WorkSafe Australia Guidance Notes on Material Safety Data Sheets shall be observed at all times. 2) Hearing tests: Audiometric tests should be conducted within two months of a person commencing employment, and thereafter at intervals of two years.

  • Workplace Violence Prevention and Crisis Response (applicable to any Party and any subcontractors and sub-grantees whose employees or other service providers deliver social or mental health services directly to individual recipients of such services): Party shall establish a written workplace violence prevention and crisis response policy meeting the requirements of Act 109 (2016), 33 VSA §8201(b), for the benefit of employees delivering direct social or mental health services. Party shall, in preparing its policy, consult with the guidelines promulgated by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration for Preventing Workplace Violence for Healthcare and Social Services Workers, as those guidelines may from time to time be amended. Party, through its violence protection and crisis response committee, shall evaluate the efficacy of its policy, and update the policy as appropriate, at least annually. The policy and any written evaluations thereof shall be provided to employees delivering direct social or mental health services. Party will ensure that any subcontractor and sub-grantee who hires employees (or contracts with service providers) who deliver social or mental health services directly to individual recipients of such services, complies with all requirements of this Section.

  • OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY 34.01 The parties recognize the need for a safe and healthy workplace. The Employer shall be responsible for providing safe and healthy working conditions. The Employer and Employees will take all reasonable steps to eliminate, reduce or minimize all workplace safety hazards. Occupational health and safety education, training and instruction provided by the Employer, shall be paid at the Basic Rate of Pay, to fulfill the requirements for training, instruction or education set out in the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulation or Code. (a) There shall be an Occupational Health and Safety Committee (Committee), which shall be composed of representatives of the Employer and representatives of the Local and may include others representing recognized functional bargaining units. This Committee shall meet once a month, and in addition shall meet within 10 days of receiving a written complaint regarding occupational health or safety. An Employee shall be paid the Employee’s Basic Rate of Pay for attendance at Committee meetings. A request to establish separate committees for each site or grouping of sites shall not be unreasonably denied. The Employer shall provide training at no cost to all Employees on the Committee to assist them in performing their duties on the Committee. Training shall be paid at the Employee’s Basic Rate of Pay. (b) Minutes of each meeting shall be taken and shall be approved by the Employer, the Local, and other bargaining groups, referred to in (a), prior to circulation. (c) The purpose of the Committee is to consider such matters as occupational health and safety and the Local may make recommendations to the Employer in that regard. (d) If an issue arises regarding occupational health or safety, the Employee or the Local shall first seek to resolve the issue through discussion with the applicable immediate supervisor in an excluded management position. If the issue is not resolved satisfactorily, it may then be forwarded in writing to the Committee. (e) The Committee shall also consider measures necessary to ensure the security of each Employee on the Employer’s premises and the Local may make recommendations to the Employer in that regard. (f) (i) Should an issue not be resolved by the Committee, the issue shall be referred to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). A resolution meeting between the Local and the CEO, or designate(s), shall take place within 21 calendar days of the issue being referred to the CEO. The CEO or designate(s) shall reply in writing to the Local within seven (7) calendar days of the resolution meeting.

  • Workplace Violence (a) It is recognized that at certain worksites or in certain work situations employees may be at risk of physical violence or verbal abuse from clients, persons in care or custody, or the public. (b) Where such potential exists: (1) employees at those worksites or in those work situations shall receive training in the recognition and management of such incidents; (2) physical and procedural measures for the protection of employees, applicable to those worksites or work situations, shall be implemented. (c) The Permanent Occupational Health and Safety Committee shall be consulted regarding the curriculum of training and the applicable physical and procedural measures referred to in (b) above. (d) The Permanent Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee shall jointly develop a new or approve an existing training package on risk assessment. (e) Employees shall be informed concerning the potential for physical violence or verbal abuse from clients, a student, instructors or other members of the public, subject to statutory limitation. (f) Immediate critical incident stress debriefing and post traumatic counselling shall be made available for employees who have suffered as a result of violence. Leave required to attend such debriefing or counselling sessions will be without loss of pay.
