PICKET LINE PROTECTION. 1. All employees covered under this Agreement have the right to refuse to work behind or cross a picket line as defined by the Labour Relations Code. 2. Failure to cross such a picket line shall not be considered a violation of this Agreement nor shall it be cause for disciplinary action by the Board. 3. Any employee failing to report to work under this Article shall be considered to be absent without pay. 4. The Board agrees that it shall not require teachers to perform duties or work normally performed by employees engaged in a legal strike or lockout or require teachers to direct pupils to carry out such duties. 5. During a lockout or strike, teachers shall not be required to work with persons not covered by this Collective Agreement, other than management, who attempt to perform any of the duties which would normally be performed by employees on strike or locked out.
