PICKET LINE PROTECTION. 1. All employees covered under this Agreement have the right to refuse to cross or work behind a picket line unless same is declared illegal by the Labour Relations Board. 2. Failure to cross a picket line (as described in paragraph A.29.1) encountered in carrying out business for the employer shall not be considered a violation of this Agreement, nor shall it be grounds for disciplinary action, but shall be deemed to be absence without pay. 3. The Board shall not require employees to do work normally performed by employees engaged in a strike or lock out.
