Plate Clause Samples
The "Plate" clause typically defines the responsibilities and specifications related to the provision, installation, or maintenance of plates, which may refer to physical nameplates, identification plates, or similar items in a contractual context. This clause outlines who is responsible for supplying the plates, the required materials or information to be displayed, and the standards for placement and durability. Its core practical function is to ensure that all necessary identification or informational plates are properly provided and maintained, thereby promoting safety, compliance, and clear identification of equipment or property.
Plate. The Plate event is open to all players who do not qualify for the KO stage of the main event. Entrants will be divided into blocks leading to qualification for a subsequent KO phase. The Tournament Manager will decide whether matches in either phase of the competition are played as single games or Best of 3. If announced in advance ties in the block phase may be broken without recourse to play-offs using clause 4 of WCF Sports Regulations Appendix 5, modified to allow the use of net games/points for AC events. This is an event at AC events only, and only for players of Developing Members who have not qualified for the KO stage of the main event. The WCF MC will determine prior to the main event which individuals are eligible for entry to the Developing Nations Plate. Competitors in the Developing Nations Plate may also compete in the Plate. If this results in a player “blocking” the completion of either event come the final days the Tournament Manager may require them to scratch from one or other event. The format to be used will be determined by the Tournament Manager but will usually be block(s) with, or without, a subsequent play-off/knock out phase.

Plate. Crafted from marble, the Plate features faint traces of red pigment and dates to circa 1200 B.C.E. Plates of this type, dimension, and form have been found in tombs in Naxos, particularly the Naxian sites of Aghioi Anargyroi, Aplomata, Phiontas, and Tsikniades. The first appearance of the Plate on the international art market was during the period of looting on Naxos: on November 6, 2012, Steinhardt purchased the Plate from Alexander with no prior provenance for $15,000. Per Alexander’s instructions, Steinhardt paid for the Plate through E.E. Capital Ltd, a Jersey-based corporation. See Exhibit 55 for the most recent photograph of the Plate. Although Alexander falsely claimed on his invoice to Steinhardt that the Plate was “not stolen from a religious institution, museum, or archaeological site,” no verifiable provenance for the Plate prior to the 2012 sale from Alexander to Steinhardt has ever been identified.
