Common use of PLEDGE AGAINST DISCRIMINATION Clause in Contracts

PLEDGE AGAINST DISCRIMINATION. The Employer and the Union agree not to discriminate against any bargaining unit employee with respect to compensation or terms and conditions of employment in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. The Employer and the Union further agree not to discriminate against any bargaining unit employee due to membership or non-membership in the Union. Nothing in this Agreement shall provide any additional rights, privileges, recourse, or remedy other than those already provided by state or federal law. The Employer and Union agree not to discriminate against any bargaining unit member on the basis of race, religion, color, creed, national original, age, sex, disability, military or veteran status, sexual orientation or any other basis protected by law.
