Posting Procedure. Posting Procedure. Whenever When a permanent vacancy occurs full-time promotion, transfer or a new position becomes available the vacancy Company will post this opportunity describing the requirements for successfully qualifying for this opening in each store for a period of five (5) working days. Any employee who wishes to be considered for this opportunity shall inform the Store Manager, in writing or by fax, of the posting unit using the prescribed form (sample copy attached Schedule The position will be awarded based on seniority, knowledge, skill and ability of the employees who have so informed the Store Manager of the posting unit before the posting closing date. Employees may not exercise their seniority rights more than twice in a month period unless no other bargaining unit member has been awarded the posting. The Company need not consider any applicant to a posting who has within the prior (12) month period, successfully bid on two vacancies. Posting Procedure. A. Whenever a permanent new position is created, whether temporary or permanent, or any vacancy occurs in any Special Education Paraprofessional position in the district shall occur, the BOARD shall give written notice of such vacancy to the UNION, notifying those on lay off, and providing for appropriate posting in every school building during the school year. No vacancy shall be filled, except in case of emergency on a temporary basis, until such vacancy shall have been posted for at least seven (7) calendar days, three (3) working days for members. The posting will indicate the rate of pay and filled in job duties. Upon the following manner:
(a) Every posting shall be for forty-eight (48) hours (two (2) regular working days) and in order to qualify for the posted job an applicant must be able and willing to satisfactorily perform the work to be done.
(b) Notice closing date of the vacancy shall be posted and posting, a copy of the qualified employee with the greatest seniority who applies, in writing, for the job shall be given the job; however, if after a reasonable time such employee is found not to be satisfactorily performing the work, he shall bid sign-up sheet will be sent to the Employment Department Union President the following day. The Board will attempt to fill the position within seven (7) calendar days of the close of the posting. When no bargaining unit member has applied for placementan open position, the district shall form a hiring committee in order to evaluate candidates for each open position. The UNION and the BOARD shall mutually agree to the appointment of one current employed Special Education Paraprofessional to this committee.
(c) The job left vacant B. In the period between school closing in June and reopening in August, the BOARD shall publicize vacancies by email and posting on the successful applicant for Human Resources Blackboard site. All postings will also be mailed to any employee on the posting in (b) above layoff list. No vacancy shall be filled during this time except in accordance case of emergency on a temporary basis, until such vacancy shall have been posted for at least fifteen (15) calendar days.
C. Future vacancies of more than 45 days but less than 1 year will be considered temporary vacancies, and will be filled according to the following guidelines: Each such vacancy will be posted to the membership When a member on active status moves voluntarily into a temporary position, s/he will retain his/her exiting benefits eligibility providing the temporary position posted is a benefits-eligible position. If a member on active status who moves voluntarily into a temporary position occupied a position eligible for benefits before the transfer, his/her former position will become ineligible for benefits thereafter, unless and until the bumping employee returns to that position. Temporary vacancies not filled by a member on “active” status will be offered to a member on laid-off status (if a layoff list exists). If a laid-off member accepts the position, s/he will be returned to active status, with the principle following proviso: o When a member from the layoff list fills a temporary position, the employer need provide benefits to only one member per benefit- eligible temporary position. If the benefits associated with the position are retained by a member on leave, no benefits will be offered to the formerly laid-off member who fills the temporary position. If a temporary vacancy is not filled by an active or laid-off status bargaining unit member, the Employer reserves the right to sub the position for the duration of (h) below with no more than the temporary vacancy. The temporary vacancy will be re-posted as a permanent vacancy at the end of one (1) move being requiredyear.

(h) Management, in filling permanent vacancies will give preference to employees with the greatest seniority who are able to satisfactorily perform the work to be done. A permanent job is one which is
(i) expected to last more than thirty (30) days unless extended by mutual agreement, or
(ii) not covered under (f) above.
(i) The successful applicant will be moved to the posted position within fourteen (14) calendar days between A & B or B & C. The fourteen (14) days shall commence with the date when the employee is declared the successful applicant.

Posting Procedure. Whenever a permanent vacancy occurs the vacancy shall be posted and filled in the following manner:
(a) Every posting shall be for forty-eight seven (487) hours (two (2) regular working days) days and in order to qualify for the posted job an applicant must be able and willing to satisfactorily perform the work to be done.
(b) Notice of the vacancy shall be posted and the qualified employee with the greatest seniority who applies, in writing, for the job shall be given the job; however, if after a reasonable time such employee is found not to be satisfactorily performing the work, he he/she shall be sent to the Employment Department for placementapplicable support function.
(c) The job left vacant by the successful applicant for the posting in (b) above shall be filled in accordance with the principle of (h) below with no more than one (1) move being required.
(d) During the time that a vacancy is posted the Company may fill the job temporarily.
(e) An employee shall be entitled to be considered as a successful applicant for a maximum of two (2) postings in any twelve (12) month period unless the job an employee successfully bid for is eliminated or he/she is disputed from the job.
(f) This section shall not apply to:
(i) Temporary layoff or recall following such layoff until the status prior to the layoff has been reached.
(ii) A vacancy created by a temporary condition or created by an employee who is absent on account of sickness, injury, absenteeism or a temporary leave of absence authorized by the Company until the Company is satisfied that such employee will not 25 return to the job, or until the temporary condition has become permanent.
(iii) A government security or Company security job.
(iv) Probationary employees.
(g) At the request of the relevant Committeeperson the Supervisor shall discuss with said Committeeperson the filling of a vacancy posted under this Section.
