Common use of Posting Clause in Contracts

Posting. Where a vacancy occurs, a new position is created within the Bargaining Unit or a temporary position exists as the result of a leave of absence of eight (8) weeks or more, a notice shall be posted as soon as possible after the Employer has determined that the vacancy exists and such notice shall be posted for a period of ten (10) calendar days. All applications for vacancies will be in writing.
