Practical Implementation Sample Clauses

Practical Implementation. The study-programme is full-time and runs over 12 months. It is taught by staff of the nine partner institutions. In term I students study the core areas of advanced micro-and macroeconomics together with applied econometrics. During terms II and III students pursue in-depth studies at an advanced level in the named areas of the Award: i.e., the economics of globalisation, international trade and European integration. The MA Economics of Globalisation and European Integration is ‘globalised’ not only with respect to its content but also its structure. Students spend the three trimesters at three different universities, among which at least two European. Following the taught part of the Programme, students return to their home universities to complete the dissertation. The rotation scheme with respect to the partner universities that organise the terms in each of the 5 academic years, starting in 2011-12 is in Annex 4. The vehicle language of the Programme is English. The students on the programme are part of the same international group of students throughout the three terms.

The RPBSA algorithm was implemented using the Java 1.8.0 programming language in the NetBeans IDE 8.2 environment. All java experiments have been performed on a 2.7 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 processor with 8 GB RAM running iOS. As already mentioned in Section 3.5, it is important to take the competitive nature of the research on timetabling into account when comparing the proposed algorithm with previous research. The use of heuristics is usually proposed whenever exact optimisation is not obtainable within a reasonable timeframe (Gigerenzer, Hertwig, & Pachur, 2011). However, excessive runtimes are omnipresent in the results of previous research on the (R)TTP and since most proposed heuristics use some sort of stochastic decisions, the Mongolian horde approach (cf.
