Preliminary Step – Immediate Supervisor. In the event a dispute is not resolved informally, the grievant may submit the grievance in writing, on a form mutually agreed upon by the Employer and Union, to the office or individual designated by the Department no more than thirty (30) calendar days from the date the employee became aware, or by reasonable diligence, should have become aware of the act or omission. The supervisor shall meet with the grievant, and CWA representative, at the employee’s request within fourteen (14) calendar days of receipt of the written grievance. If a mutual resolution is reached, it will be reduced to writing and signed by both sides. If a mutual resolution is not reached, the supervisor shall render a written response to the grievance within seven (7) calendar days after the meeting. Decisions at this step shall not be used as precedent for any subsequent case.

Preliminary Step – Immediate Supervisor. The employee having a dispute, accompanied by union representation at the employee’s request, will first attempt to resolve it by meeting with his/her immediate supervisor, at the time of the act or omission giving rise to the dispute, or as soon as possible thereafter, but no later than fourteen (14) calendar days from the date the employee became aware, or by reasonable diligence, should have been aware of the act or omission. The employee will reduce his/her dispute to writing. The supervisor will render a response to the dispute within five (5) calendar days after the meeting. Decisions as this step shall not be used as precedent for any subsequent case. If the Employer has a mediation program available, it will incorporated into the grievance process, as agreed to by the parties.

  • Immediate Supervisor The term "immediate supervisor" as used in this Article refers to the appropriate non-bargaining unit supervisory or management person to whom the employee is accountable.

  • Grievance Representatives Within 30 working days after the execution of this Agreement, the Union shall furnish the Xxxxxxx with a list of all persons authorized to act as the Chapter and UPI Local Grievance Representatives and shall update the list as changes occur. The designated Chapter Grievance Representative shall be an employee of the University and shall have the responsibility to meet classes, office hours, and other assigned duties and responsibilities. If the responsibilities of the Chapter Grievance Representative require rescheduling of the representative's University duties, the representative may, with the approval of the Xxxxxxx, arrange for the rescheduling of such duties or their coverage by colleagues. Such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. The provisions of Article 15.4. shall also apply to the UPI Local Grievance Representative if he or she is an employee of the University.

  • Rating Impact on Student Learning Growth ESE will provide model contract language and guidance on rating educator impact on student learning growth based on state and district-determined measures of student learning. Upon receiving this model contract language and guidance, the parties agree to bargain with respect to this matter.

  • Grievance Representative Employees presenting a grievance under Step 2 shall be represented by a representative of the Union.

  • Union Representative Visits The Union shall inform the Employer in advance whenever the designated representatives of the Union intend to visit the Employer’s premises for the purpose of conducting Union business. Such visits shall not interfere with the normal operations of the worksite. Reasonable accommodation will be made to allow the Presidents of the Unions to have access to union members to conduct union business.

  • Nurse Representatives & Grievance Committee (a) The Hospital agrees to recognize Association representatives to be elected or appointed from amongst nurses in the bargaining unit for the purpose of dealing with Association business as provided in this Collective Agreement. The number of representatives and the areas which they represent are set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions.
