Prescheduled Vacation Picks. Vacation picks shall be conducted by seniority. Any vacation used prior to April 1st shall not be considered a pick. Vacation picks shall begin January 15th and shall be completed and posted by March 15th of each year. Vacation scheduling is limited to a minimum of one (1) hours and a maximum of one hundred sixty eight (168) hours and must run consecutively or be combined consecutively with compensatory days. Once informed of his right to “pick” the employee will have until the shift’s following workday to provide his pick to the shift commander. If no pick is provided within that time frame it will be considered a pass, and the process will continue.
