Leave of Absence for Employees Who Serve as Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association An employee who serves as Local Coordinator for the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually. Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.
Role of Seniority in Promotions and Transfers Employees who apply for a position involving a promotion or transfer shall be considered on the basis of qualifications and abilities. Where these factors are judged to be relatively equal between applicants, seniority shall apply.
Unpaid Leave - Affecting Seniority and Benefits Any employee granted unpaid leave of absence totalling up to twenty (20) working days in any year shall continue to accumulate seniority and all benefits and shall return to her/his former job and increment step. If an unpaid leave of absence or an accumulation of unpaid leaves of absence exceeds twenty (20) working days in any year, the employee shall not accumulate benefits from the twenty-first (21st) day of the unpaid leave to the last day of the unpaid leave but shall accumulate benefits and receive credit for previously earned benefits upon expiration of the unpaid leave.
Loss of Service and Seniority An employee shall lose all service and seniority and shall be deemed to have terminated if he:
VACANCIES, TERM POSITIONS AND NEW POSITIONS 3001 Subject to section 3002 herein, the Employer agrees to post notices of vacant, term or new positions covered under this Agreement for at least seven (7) days to enable nurses presently in the employ of the Employer to apply for same. Loss of Seniority and Employment A Nurse shall lose both Seniority and employment in the event that:
Transfer of Service and Seniority Effective October 10, 1986, and for employees who transfer subsequent to October 10, 1986, an employee whose status is changed from full-time to part- time shall receive credit for her full service and seniority.
