Neither an employee's file nor any of its contents shall be copied or otherwise made known to anyone without the permission of the employee; provided, however, such file shall be available to the Board and its agents, appropriate administrators or, as may be required by law, any court or other hearing.

The employee and Union President will be notified in writing (email is acceptable) upon fulfillment of the request, if permitted by law. Such notification will not impair the District’s ability to respond as required by law.
PRIVACY OF MATERIALS IN FILE. The Board will not divulge a disciplinary report, letter of reprimand, or other disciplinary action to a third party, to a party who is not a part of the employer’s organization, or to a party who is not a part of the Union without complying with the notice requirements of Section 7 of the personnel records review act, 820 ILCS 40/7.
