Professional Meetings Leave may be granted to a teacher for the purpose of attending professional conferences, workshops, or conventions, and for visiting other schools. This leave shall be granted upon recommendation of the Principal and the Superintendent and approval of the Board. The Professional Leave days shall not be deducted from accumulated Sick Leave days. Requests for Professional Meetings Leave must be submitted to the Superintendent at least ten (10) working days in advance of the next regularly scheduled Board meeting.
