Professional Meetings Leave. 1. Professional Meetings Leave may be granted to a teacher for the purpose of attending professional conferences, workshops, or conventions, and for visiting other schools. This leave shall be granted upon recommendation of the Principal and the Superintendent and approval of the Board. The Professional Leave days shall not be deducted from accumulated Sick Leave days. The Board of Education recognizes that professional meetings are important in teacher development.
