Professional Teacher Status and Pension Status. Contributions to the retirement fund by the teacher shall continue through the period of sabbatical leave and shall count as regular service for such retirement. Professional teacher status privileges and salary increments shall continue just as they might in normal employment. Group insurance will be continued during the duration of the leave.
