Common use of Project Positions Clause in Contracts

Project Positions. 38.1 Project positions have specific durations of longer than six (6) months. The University may create project positions in situations where the position is contingent upon state, federal, local, grant, or other special funding of specific and of time-limited duration, and/or where the work to be performed by the position is project-based and of a time-limited nature. The University will notify employees at the time of hire of the project nature of the position and the anticipated ending date of the project position. As vacant positions become available, bargaining unit employees will be considered for the following opportunities: 39.1.1 Promotion
