Common use of Promotion or Transfer Clause in Contracts

Promotion or Transfer. In the event of promotion in or transfer from one classification to another, the employee shall be given a thirty (30) workday trial in which to show his/her ability to perform on the new job. If the employee is unable to demonstrate ability, as determined by the Employer, perform the work required during the trial period, or at the option of the affected employee, the employee shall be returned to his/her previous assignment.
