Discipline of Students. When, in the opinion of the counselor, his/her dissemination of a discipline decision will destroy or seriously impair the counselor-counselee relationship, the counselor will so inform the principal or his/her designee and request the principal or his/her designee to disseminate the discipline decision.
Discipline of Students. A. The District and substitute employees shall require acceptable behavior on the part of all students who attend school in the District. Such discipline shall be consistent with the law and District-adopted student discipline policy. B. The District shall support employees in their efforts to maintain discipline and, further, shall support the authority of using prudent disciplinary measures by substitute employees. C. A substitute teacher may remove a pupil from a class session for sufficient cause. The teacher will furnish the principal, as promptly as teaching obligations will allow, full particulars of the above incidents in writing. D. The substitute teacher shall have the responsibility to notify the building administrator of deviant or disruptive behavior of a student which may lead to suspension or expulsion.

Public Act 103 of 1999 authorizes teachers to suspend a student(s) from his/her class for up to one day for any behavior prohibited by law, the Student Handbook, or Board Policy. Violations meriting removal from class by the teacher include, but are not limited to, persistent misbehavior or disruptions that interfere with classroom procedures, verbally abusing the teacher or other students, refusing to comply with directives, and other forms of unacceptable behavior. In suspending a student from class, teachers are to comply with Act 103 and Board Policy #5233 which is included in the Staff Handbook.
Discipline of Students. 6.3.1 Unit members will report immediately to their supervisor any instance of a student whose actions constitute a threat to the safety of the classroom or its occupants, or whose behavior causes a disruption in the education process of other class members. 6.3.2 Any student who demonstrates inability to profit by instruction or unwillingness to comply with class procedures, or whose behavior interferes with the educational process shall be reported by the unit member to the Associate Xxxx or his designee, who shall take appropriate action, which may include notification to Navy/Marine Corps officials. 6.3.3 The District shall provide for the defense of any civil action brought against a unit member arising out of a disciplinary action taken by the unit member, unless the District determines that the unit member acted because of actual malice.

Discipline of Students. Certified Staff and other certificated personnel shall maintain discipline in the schools, including school grounds which are owned or leased by the Board of Education and used for school purposes and activities. The Administration and Board of Education of School District 144 as well as the Association recognize the seriousness of pupil discipline and the problems surrounding it. The District will continue its efforts to provide a productive and safe learning environment for its students and teachers. The Employer shall support and assist Certified Staff with respect to the maintenance of control and discipline of students. With respect to students who are disruptive or who repeatedly violate rules and regulations, the Employer or its designated representative shall take steps to assist the Certified Staff member in a timely fashion The affected Certified Staff member will be notified of the disposition of the referral as soon as practical. The safety of students and Certified Staff of the District will be considered in all decisions involving student disciplinary matters. The District will keep an open dialogue with Certified Staff on issues involving student discipline. The District agrees that it will follow the reporting requirements set forth in the Illinois School Code, 105 ILCS 5/10- 21.7 “Attacks on School Personnel.”
Discipline of Students. 1. A professional employee who, for just cause, recommends removal of a student from class, shall receive a written response from the principal of the disposition of the recommendation within ten (10) school days. If the professional employee does not agree to the disposition of the recommendation by the Principal, he/she has the right to appear with a representative before the Superintendent, who shall not arbitrarily deny the request. If a professional employee disagrees with the Superintendent's decision, a grievance may be filed at Level Three. 2. Any problem with disciplinary procedures in a school may be brought to the Superintendent. Before the matter is submitted to the Superintendent, the professional employee(s) shall document, in writing, the effort he/she has made to correct the situation and whether a request to meet with the Principal has been made, and if so, the results of said meeting. If the matter is not resolved with the Superintendent, it may be submitted to the School Committee in accordance with Article 26. 3. A Committee for Discipline shall be established with five (5) members appointed by the Employer, including three (3) administrative employees from Central Administration and two (2) building Principals and five (5) members of the NBEA to be appointed by the NBEA President. The Committee shall be charged with reviewing the current system wide discipline policies and procedures, including the provisions for the implementation of said policies and procedures and shall establish new policies and procedures and provisions for implementation of such as the need for shall be determined by said Committee. The Committee shall meet at least four (4) times during each school year and shall report to the School Committee at least once annually or more frequently if needed.
Discipline of Students. Employees who have received appropriate training may be called upon to assist administrators with disciplinary measures in accordance with the Board approved code of conduct. SECTION H - Unsafe Conditions Employees shall be required to perform all work responsibilities as directed but shall not be required to work under unsafe or hazardous conditions or to perform tasks which endanger their health or safety. Any alleged unsafe conditions or tasks shall be immediately reported to the Superintendent.
